Want to Stand Out in 2020? Here are 5 New Car Rims to Consider!

Slotting in at the number 4 spot are the rims found on the newly-redesigned 2020 Hyundai Sonata SEL Plus. Just like the Avalon, these rims were nominated because of how well they complement the vehicle’s overall design.

Even though the sedan segment is starting to flop in North America, as more and more families favor Crossover SUVs, Hyundai is still chanting “LONG LIVE THE FAMILY SEDAN”!

Personally, we believe the growth of the Crossover SUV segment has given Hyundai even more of an initiative to make their Sonata a stand-out product. And we believe, for 2020, Hyundai has done just that.

Not only has Hyundai designed a Sonata with a sleek and more agile body appearance, but they paired that new body with rims that help exude it’s athletic, yet sophisticated characteristics.

For 2020, Hyundai is offering 3 different rim designs for consumers to select between. The rims on the SEL Plus are the largest of the bunch, and they are actually identical to the ones found on the Limited model. We aren’t too keen on Hyundai’s “decision making” in that regard, since it is very difficult to decipher between the SEL Plus and range-topping Limited models. But we’ll let that slide because these rims look pretty dang sharp & snazzy!

The directional layout of the modestly-sized 18-inch rims gives the 2020 Sonata an appearance which suggests it is “in motion” even while at a standstill. Moreover, the brushed aluminum accenting gives the rims a hint of sophistication, while the dark inner pockets further accentuate the sportiness of these rims. We also particularly favor the intricately designed center cap which has an almost ninja-star-like appearance to it. Ooh la la!

THE CURSIVE H BRAND IS STILL CHANTING “LONG LIVE THE FAMILY SEDAN”! AND WE’RE HAPPY TO HEAR THAT.

    1. This was really interesting and fun to read!I liked all of the rims but my favorite one was the 2020 Toyota Avalon TRD. I like that its completely black and has the bright TRD letters written. But what tops it all off is the red brake calipers. I think it makes everything cooler and more interesting to look at.

      1. Glad to hear that, Julian!

Also, YES! It seems like lots of people are really loving the fully-blacked-out rims on the 2020 Avalon TRD. I have to admit that they are quite stylish and definitely quite unexpected… Especially from an Avalon. Not to mention, those red accents really help the rims “pop”. THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT! Stay tuned for more blogs coming soon. I had tons of fun creating this one.

    1. Agreed! Some people may overlook vehicle rim designs, but in reality, rims can make or break the design of a vehicle. As I mentioned in this post, I believe an attractive set of rims on an automobile is equivalent to stylish shoes on a person.

Thanks for reading through this blog. I truly appreciate your support!

  4. Very cool. Rims make such a difference in appearance. Personally I like a darker rim whether it be dark gray or even black. Depends on the vehicle though. Thanks for the post!

    1. Absolutely. Rims make such a difference in a vehicle’s appearance.

Also, WOW! We have the same taste in rims! I personally really like darker finished rims, as well! Especially those that are accented with light brushed aluminum accents (with dark pockets). The contrast offers such a striking and bold appearance. Thanks for commenting, Nolan!

  5. I like the blog boss! It’s looking amazing! I would say the Avalon has the best looking rims though I can’t lie. Very performance oriented which I like personally. Can’t wait to see what else is to come!

    1. I really appreciate all the kind words, Gavan. I have poured my heart out into the layout and ergonomics of the site. Please, by any means, let me know about any areas that can use improvement. I am all ears.

I agree with you, though! The rims on the Avalon TRD look stunning! Those red accents just make them perfectly appealing. Toyota really outdid themselves with the current-gen Avalon. Thanks for reading!

    1. Same here! Lincoln has really been bringing their “A-Game” when it comes to vehicle design, and the all-new Aviator is no exception to that.

  7. Fun fact, I didnt know the Avalon was around since 1994 I thought that was a recent car (like this generation recent). I know that’s a random fact that didn’t relate to the main idea of the blog, but if someone can learn something that’s outside of the main focus, that means you did a great job remaining factual! Keep the good work up!

    1. Hey, Samantha! That’s so awesome! Glad you learned something new from this blog post. You are absolutely correct! The fact that someone can learn something that’s outside of the main focus of a blog post is quite an accomplishment. I am very appreciative of your very genuine and extended comment. I will surely remain factual, while still mixing in in splashes of my personality. Be sure to stay tuned because there is lots of awesome content on the way!

    1. Indeed! The rims on the vehicles featured in this “Top 5 List” will surely help you stand out in 2020 (and the years after). In my opinion, rims to a car are like wearing a slick pair of shoes. They really can spice up a car making them stand out even more!

Glad you enjoyed this blog post. Stay tuned for more coming soon, Youcef!
